The real and the virtual world
Today i was watching Twilight the new moon.. i would say it was not that much fun to watch but one thought kept on crossing my mind throughout the movie that somehow even all of us love to create our own world,a world where everything is exciting. Beacuse the real life sometimes becomes quite boring and mundane.We wan't a life in disguise , a life hidden from our parents,sometimes even friends.An altogether new world.
In today's time internet has become a favourite to resort to..to hooked on to for hours.Social networking sites provide a perfect platform to interact with friends and now even strangers.
Now people love to discuss things with a complete stranger..given the fact that he or she has become closer than the friends we interact in our daily life.
I interact with people on twitter on a regular basis all the handles have become a part of my life now they are my friends although virtual but they are the ones i can count on.
Facebook too is also a hugely popular social networking site but in a way it doesn't appeal me as twitter does.
I started thinking why ? Why am i more comfortable on twitter than on facebook.And now i have discovered the answer.
Ever since childhood i have been a reserved kind of girl more into movies than chatting with friends or discussing certain things that friends enjoyed.
All those who came closer to me where people who were crazy for movies as i was.
So the answer is there for all of you,On facebook i interact with people who have been associated with me through academics or people who are a part of my real life. And on twitter i interact with people who share common interest with me. All my twitter friends are crazy movie buffs, we discuss movies and other related stuff.
And icing on the cake is the presence of celebrites on twitter.
